Dr. Laurence Merrill Kelly, Sr. received his Doctorate in Counseling in 1984 from Vanderbilt University. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies and a Master’s Degree in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. He is a nationally certified School Psychologist. He holds a second Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling, and is certified as a Guidance Counselor. He also holds a third Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology. He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (MLADC). Additionally, he holds the board certification of Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has worked in hospitals, schools, and in private practice for over 34 years.

Dr. Kelly has advanced training in the areas of Psychopharmacology, Addictions, and Psychotherapy. His outside interests are in travel, motorcycles, and hiking. He feels the future of clinical psychology will be in prevention and developing healthy lifestyles. Exercise and fitness are essential to mind and body health.
